De tennissters van Canada maken geen kans meer op titelprolongatie in de Billie Jean King Cup. Groot-Brittannië was in de kwartfinales van het landentoernooi met 2-0 te sterk. Emma Raducanu klopte Rebecca Marino met 6-0 7-5, Katie Boulter was met 6-2 6-4 te sterk voor Leylah Fernandez.
Groot-Brittannië treft in de halve finales in het Spaanse Málaga Slowakije, Italië neemt het voor de andere finaleplek op tegen Polen.
